UNESCO
World Heritage of Korea is visiting major world cultural and natural
heritage in Korea designated by UNESCO in order to help foreign
visitors to have broad and deep understanding of Korean culture and
tradition in a short time.
Day 1 : Seoul,
South Korea
Arrive Incheon International Airport
and transfer to the hotel where the remainder of the day will be
free at leisure.
Day 2 : Jeju
Early morning
flight from Gimpo Airport to Jeju Island. After meeting your tour
guide at Jeju Airport, then head out to Yongduam Rock (Dragon Head
Rock). Admire the majestic rock formations and deep-blue waters.
Stop for lunch at local restaurant. Enjoy Korean Fantastic
performance - Arirang Show, continue with a hike to the Ohreum
(peak) of one of the parasitic mountains around Mount Halla
(optional, depends upon flight arrival time). Check in hotel. HOTEL: Jeju Kal Hotel or similar
Day 3 : Jeju
Breakfast at
your hotel, and then enjoy a full day of sightseeing. Visit
Cheonjeyeon Falls (The Pond of God), Continue to the Gyulimseong
tangerine farm and followed by a scenic cruise aboard the Seogwipo
Pleasure Boat. Stop for lunch at the local restaurant. Visit
Spirited Garden, recognized as the most beautiful garden in the
world by the press and renowned guest from around the world who have
visited since it opened on July 30.1992 . Take a walk “Olle” a
narrow pathway. Complete the day with a walk along the shores of
Yongmeori Beach; if closed*, visit Sangbanggulsa cave instead.
Dinner on your own and
transfer to hotel. HOTEL :Jeju Kal Hotel or similar
Day
4 : Jeju to Busan
Breakfast at
your hotel and then visit Seongsan Ilchulbong Peak, World Heritage
designated by UNESCO. Next, exploring the Seongeup Folk Village,
renowned for perfectly preserving Korean traditions. This village also boasts many cultural landmarks, such as Confucian
shrines and schools, millstones, and more. Have a lunch at local
restaurant. Head for Manjang Cave, World Heritage by UNESCO. Visit
Korean Jewelry Amethyst and local product store. Transferred back
to Jeju Airport and fly to Busan in the late afternoon. Upon
arrival, meet with tour guide and then drive to Busan downtown, the
second largest city in Korea, surrounded by mountains and the East

Day
5: Busan to Gyeongju
Breakfast at
the hotel. Move to Gyeongju, a museum without walls. In 57 BC,
around when Julius Caesar was subduing Gaul, it became the capital
of the Shilla Dynasty and remained so for about 1000 years. Gyeongju
preserves a vast amount of significant and fascinating historical
heritage.
Along with Bulguksa Temple and Seokguram Grotto, its historical
district has been designated as a World Heritage by UNESCO. Gyeongju
National Museum, & Cheomgseongdae Astronomical Observatory,
Seokguram Grotto (UNESCO world heritage) - an artificial stone
temple made of granites, located on the eastern peak of Mt. Toham.
Inside the round-shaped main hall, there are the Bonjon Statue,
Bodhi-Sattava and his disciples. It was built to preserve these
statues. Bulguksa Temple (UNESCO world heritage) – The beauty of the
temple itself and artistic touch of the stone relics are as awesome
and fascinating as to be highly praised by visitors from all over
the world. Move to Gayasan National Park. Check in at hotel.

6: Gyeongju to Andong, Mt.Seorak
After
check-out hotel, visit the Haeinsa Temple located in Gayasan
National Park. Haeinsa Temple was founded by King Ae-Jang of Shilla
Dynasty (802), well known for its famous treasure “ Tripitaka
Koreana ”(UNESCO world heritage) composed of 81,341 printing
woodblocks made to repulse the Mongolian Army Invasion with support
of Buddha. And then transfer to Andong Hahoe Village which has preserved the
housing architecture and the village structure of the Joseon
Dynasty.Moreover, the Village was not artificially created; there
are people who actually live there. The Hahoe Village has become
world-famous for the visit of The Queen Elizabeth II of Britain
several years ago.
And then transfer to
Sokcho, a port of fishing boats and commercial ships. Check in at
hotel located close to Sokcho seashore. HOTEL: Maremons Hotel or similar

7: Mt.Seorak to Seoul
Move to Seoraksan National Park of which the peaks break through the
clouds while jade-like water flows through the valleys, creating
breathtaking views and making this Korea’s most famous national
park. UNESCO designated this park a Biosphere Preservation District
in 1982 due to so many rare species found here. Visit Sinheungsa located in Mt.Seorak which is an ancient temple
with deep historical significance, built by a great monk Jajangyulsa
(590~658). (Optional Tour: Gwongeumseong Cable Car–USD15.00).
Gwongeumseong is a site of castle ruins located on the steep Dol
Mountain of Seoraksan National Park area. After sightseeing of
Seoraksan National Park, move to Seoul. Check in at hotel and take a

Day 8: Seoul
to Hwasung Fortress
Pass-by
Cheongwadae (Presidential residence), Jongmyo Royal Shrine (UNESCO
world heritage)– the worship place for the kings of the JOSEON
Dynasty well known for its tradition and customs such as the well
preserved memorial services and traditional music which dates back
to 600 years ago. Changdeokgung Palace (UNESCO world heritage) – The
Palace served as the main building after 9th king Seojong of Joseon,
when a number of kings used this palace as a place of dwelling and
working.
It is comprised of a
public palace area, a royal family residence building, and the rear
garden which has been kept as natural as possible and where human
hands were only used when absolutely necessary. Move to Hwaseong
Fortress (UNESCO world heritage) located in Suwon City, Gyeonggi-do
province, one and a half hour drive south of Seoul.
Hwangseong Fortress was started and completed by King Jeongjo
of Joseon Dynasty (1392~1910) in September of 1796. An interesting
point to note about the Fortress is that it was planned and built
using the ideas of practical science. Both stones and bricks were used, while heavy materials were lifted
by using a system of pulleys to reduce building time, and the
scientific structures made it possible to attack and defend
effectively. It was a pioneering achievement for that era in terms of cutting
down the estimated building time of 10 years to an impressive 33
